Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Amartya Puri Green Cottages, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and stunning natural beauty that surrounded this eco-friendly retreat. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering a delicious welcome drink infused with local flavors upon our arrival, which was a delightful touch after a long journey. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with each bungalow boasting a private veranda that overlooked a lush garden, sprawling rice fields, and majestic mountains. The infinity pool, nestled amidst the picturesque landscape, provided a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the tranquility of the surroundings. One of the standout features of our stay was the complimentary shuttle service provided by the attentive staff. This service made exploring the charming village of Munduk and its nearby attractions incredibly convenient. We particularly enjoyed the guided trek to the nearby waterfalls and the giant tree, where our guide, Made, shared fascinating insights about the local flora and fauna. While the menu options were somewhat limited, the quality of the food more than made up for it, and we found ourselves dining there every evening, savoring the fresh flavors of Balinese cuisine. From the breathtaking views of the mountains to the attentive service provided by the staff, every moment spent at this hidden gem in Munduk was truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this eco-conscious sanctuary to anyone looking to reconnect with nature and experience the authentic charm of Bali's untouched beauty.
